From Jail to Yale: Serving Time on Stage
Performed By Charles S. Dutton
Wednesday, April 25, 2012 | 7:30 PM | $50
The play, "From Jail to Yale: Serving Time on Stage," illustrates Charles S. Dutton's life journey from, what he refers to as, "nearly every prison in the state of Maryland to the hallowed halls of Yale." Like the participants in APRI's Breaking the Chains of Poverty program, Mr. Dutton grew up in a community with little access to resources and he experienced the impact of debilitating social ills. Mr. Dutton's life changed for the better when he picked up a book of plays, and when a single individual invested in his dreams.

486 CLUB
Mark Clayton Southers, Artistic Director, Theatre Initiatives, has created a new theatre initiative--the 486 Club. The 486 Club is designed with you and The Center in mind. Performances will take place on Monday evenings to allow access to artists, and to ensure a nice, receptive, full Pittsburgh house for them. There will be three performances throughout the season, none of which will be advertised, and no one will know who is performing until the curtain opens!
To become a member, contact Carmen Ellington at cellington@augustwilsoncenter.org or call 412.338.8727.
